Job Summary

The Premium Barback is responsible for working with the Bartender to ensure that guests are enjoying their time at the event throughout the stadium. The Barback helps with emptying plates and glassware, as well as setting up the bar before service. In addition, the individual helps with the wiping down of the bar.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs important guest service functions including among other things including keeping the bar area, bar top, floor and storage areas clean and free of debris, dirty glassware, silverware and trash.
  • Retrieves all needed food items from kitchen and delivers to bar area.
  • Retrieves all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area.
  • Thoroughly completes all station set-up and breakdown responsibilities.
  • Ensures beer taps are working properly.
  • Places appropriate bar snacks on counter; keeps supplies, such as snacks and napkins, stocked throughout shift.
  • Helps ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar or lounge areas; washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and floors under equipment; sweeps and mops service areas, including floor mats.
  • Stocks juices, ice, alcohol, bear, wine and any other product required to properly operate the bar.
  • Sets up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf.
  • Buses tables in bar area.
  • Ensures rubbish is removed from all receptacles.
  • Understands and can describe menu offerings, packaging/presentation and pricing.
  • Responds to guest needs and requests.
  • Adheres to location appearance guidelines.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency and provides friendly, efficient service to teammates and guests.
  • Adheres to Levy guidelines as stated in team member training manual and employee handbook.
  • Communicates guest issues to management.
  • Follows responsible alcohol service policies.
  • Follows cash handling and tip reporting guidelines.
  • Employs good safety and sanitation practices.
  • Aids in opening and closing side work as assigned.
  • Practices proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment.
  • Prepares and serves beverages as needed to assist bartender.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

  • One (1) year experience as an Apprentice Bartender or Barback is preferred.
  • Be punctual, reliable and available for scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays on event basis.
  • Adapt quickly to fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day and stand for duration of entire shift.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required work cards including SNHD Health Card, TAM Card, Non-Gaming Card and ServSafe.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English in written and oral form.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and bend.
  • Lift, push pull up to 50 lbs.
