Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervises all internal audit processing activities, both technical and clerical.
- Makes sure the department’s work flows smoothly and meets deadlines.
- Works closely with field management to ensure audits are completed accurately.
- Monitors and meets departmental goals.
- Acts as the Premium Audit department leader.
- Communicates with other departments and Insureds/Agents/Underwriting.
- Compiles and distributes reports to Finance and Underwriting.
- Works with IT on new systems and automation.
- Manages departmental staffing and personnel duties.
- Trains and develops team members.
- Develops new procedures and training.
- Supervises a team of Premium Auditors.
- Provides daily direction to Premium Audit team.
- Communicates Mission, Values and other organization operating principles.
- Ensures engagement and development of team members.
- Enforces department policies and procedures.
- Ensures data quality, adherence to IT security guidelines, profitability, and other risk-related metrics.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required in Accounting, Business, Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with billing and billing systems, audit review, and all rules/regulations for all states.
Knowledge And Skills
- Working knowledge of billing, accounts receivable, billing systems and audit review, required.
- Familiarity with insurance rules, regulations and laws for all states.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to apply principles of logic to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to use technology to help assist in interpreting the data provided.
Work Environment
- This position operates in an office environment and requires the frequent use of a computer, telephone, copier, and other standard office equipment.
- The current range for this position is $90,559.93 - $152,723.07.
- This range is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
