Premises Liability Technical Director

Essential Job Functions
- Develop, implement, and oversee employee training related to the investigation of personal injury insurance claims and lawsuits to assure compliance with current codes, standards, and scientific theories
- Oversee all quality assurance work related to premises liability and security consultation services
- Work with clients to develop safety strategies aimed at reducing injury to employees and/or invitees
- Work with our Business Development and Marketing teams to promote our Premises Liability and Security services
- Develop and manage research studies aimed at reducing injury causing accidents to the general public in our state-of-the-art pedestrian gait lab and research facility
Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biomechanics, Human Factors, or a field related to Human Safety
- A minimum of 10-years' experience investigating pedestrian accidents, working in accident prevention, or conducting research related to human safety
Skills and Abilities
- Extensive experience in performing slip resistance testing, adhering to ASTM and ANSI standards, and applying knowledge to pedestrian safety
- Thorough knowledge of North American building and life safety codes
- Experience providing legal testimony as an expert witness
- Additional Consideration will be given to candidates with OSHA experience or training; past employment overseeing safety or risk mitigation; possessing a CSP® certification; or, who actively participate in one or more recognized technical committees related to human safety
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively
- The candidate should also be a self-motivated individual capable of working independently and remotely
- The candidate should be comfortable speaking in public forums and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Typical office environment with occasional travel (up to 50%)
