About the role
The Private Client Advisor role involves connecting with clients in a persuasive and enthusiastic manner, working at a fast pace, and collaborating with others to complete tasks. Key responsibilities include establishing a trusted banker-client relationship, coordinating client financial needs, protecting client information, and engaging in advisory discussions on broad economic and business issues.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a trusted banker-client relationship
- Coincide with assigned client financial needs through a proactive and disciplined approach
- Protect all client and bank information
- Engage in advisory discussions on broad local and national economic and business issues
- Achieve specific sales and service goals on a quarterly and annual basis
- Proudly participate and represent NBH in various community, civic, and professional organizations
- Build a great rapport with clients and fellow associates
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in progressive sales management, extraordinary client service, and client/prospect calling experience
- Must be/become registered and licensed in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as required by the S.A.F.E. Act
- Compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and NBH's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results
- Must meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Previous Private Banking experience and exceptional Client Services experience
- Previous Investment Management / Estate Planning / Trust Services Experience and financial industry designations
- Previous sales experience in the banking and/or financial services industry
- Bilingual language skills

- Client service driven; very responsive and understanding to the needs of Private Banking client issues and concerns
- Specialized competencies including basics of financial planning, asset/investment types and allocation methodologies, basics of wealth management, as well as consumer, commercial and mortgage credit types and approaches
- Specialized competencies in delivery of deposit, loan and other banking products and services
- Strong financial acumen and conceptual understanding of risk management
- Highly effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated ability to speak effectively to internal and external clients
- Strong professional and etiquette behaviors
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately
- Passionate about proactive relationship building of new business from existing clients and referrals
- Proven track record of prospecting new relationships, as well as enhancing existing ones, and meeting or exceeding goals
- Proven sales skills and client management experience
- Proficient at working with multiple computer and Microsoft Office software applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn various systems
