About the role

The Private Client Advisor role involves connecting with clients in a persuasive and enthusiastic manner, working at a fast pace, and collaborating with others to complete tasks. Key responsibilities include establishing a trusted banker-client relationship, coordinating client financial needs, protecting client information, and engaging in advisory discussions on broad economic and business issues.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a trusted banker-client relationship
  • Coincide with assigned client financial needs through a proactive and disciplined approach
  • Protect all client and bank information
  • Engage in advisory discussions on broad local and national economic and business issues
  • Achieve specific sales and service goals on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Proudly participate and represent NBH in various community, civic, and professional organizations
  • Build a great rapport with clients and fellow associates

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in progressive sales management, extraordinary client service, and client/prospect calling experience
  • Must be/become registered and licensed in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as required by the S.A.F.E. Act
  • Compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and NBH's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results
  • Must meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents
  • Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

  • Previous Private Banking experience and exceptional Client Services experience
  • Previous Investment Management / Estate Planning / Trust Services Experience and financial industry designations
  • Previous sales experience in the banking and/or financial services industry
  • Bilingual language skills

  • Client service driven; very responsive and understanding to the needs of Private Banking client issues and concerns
  • Specialized competencies including basics of financial planning, asset/investment types and allocation methodologies, basics of wealth management, as well as consumer, commercial and mortgage credit types and approaches
  • Specialized competencies in delivery of deposit, loan and other banking products and services
  • Strong financial acumen and conceptual understanding of risk management
  • Highly effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated ability to speak effectively to internal and external clients
  • Strong professional and etiquette behaviors
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately
  • Passionate about proactive relationship building of new business from existing clients and referrals
  • Proven track record of prospecting new relationships, as well as enhancing existing ones, and meeting or exceeding goals
  • Proven sales skills and client management experience
  • Proficient at working with multiple computer and Microsoft Office software applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn various systems
  • Cooperates and works collaboratively toward solutions that generally benefit all involved parties; works cooperatively with others to accomplish company objectives
  • Fosters the development of a common vision and fully participates in creating a unified team that gets results
  • Above average ability to think logically in order to analyze situations and make sound decisions
