About the Role

As a Private Client Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for a select group of NBH’s affluent clients. You will establish entrusted banker-client relationships, coordinate assigned client financial needs through a proactive and disciplined approach that reaches across multiple lines of business and service/support teams, and protect all client and bank information in compliance with the Client Privacy and Information Policy & Procedures. You will study and understand broad local and national economic and business issues to engage in fluent advisory discussions with affluent clients, helping determine their needs.

Private Client Advisors are expected to achieve specific sales and service goals on a quarterly and annual basis, proudly participate and represent NBH in various community, civic, and professional organizations, and build strong rapport with clients and fellow associates while treating others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.

All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in progressive sales management, extraordinary client service, and client/prospect calling.
  • Must be/become registered and licensed in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as required by the S.A.F.E. Act.
  • Compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and NBH’s compliance policies, including acceptable background check investigation results.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license; driving may be required, and driving history must meet Bank’s driver standards.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Previous Private Banking experience and exceptional Client Services experience.
  • Previous Investment Management, Estate Planning, or Trust Services experience and financial industry designations.
  • Previous sales experience in the banking and/or financial services industry.
  • Bilingual language skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn various systems.
  • Collaborative approach to problem-solving and achieving company objectives.
  • Ability to think logically, analyze situations, and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates concern for achieving or surpassing results against internal or external standards.
  • Makes decisions authoritatively and wisely after considering available courses of action.
  • Effectively communicates thoughts and ideas orally or verbally in individual or group situations.
  • Manual dexterity for handling items with hands for extended periods or frequently throughout the workday.

Work Environment

  • Professional setting with a culture that values meritocracy and associate growth.
  • Availability on call Monday through Sunday, 24 hours a day.
  • May be requested to work evenings and weekends for special program events.
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, with occasional out-of-area and overnight travel to meet client expectations.
  • Ability to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time.
  • Physical tasks may include grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, raising, and holding hands and arms overhead.
  • Sitting for extended periods (typically no longer than 8 hours).
