PreK- Lead Teacher

The Goddard School of Eldersburg is the premiere preschool in Eldersburg, MD. We are professional, agile, supportive and our goal is to provide a wonderful, kind experience not only for our children and their families but also for our faculty.

About the role

We are currently hiring teachers for our classrooms! Our ideal teachers will love and nurture our children while helping to build a foundation for early childhood development. A passion for creating an environment of kindness and character development are a must!

Responsibilities

• Implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Providing positive guidance by supporting social and emotional development
• Establishing positive and productive relationships with families
• Ensuring a well-run program by developing lesson plans and building teamwork
• Understanding and implementing Goddard’s Health & Safety procedures

Requirements

• Kindness and strong character
• Desire to nurture children and help them grow to make the world a better place
• CDA or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred but not required)
• 45 Hour Infant/Toddler Certificate or 90 Hour Preschool Certificate preferred (tuition assistance available if not currently certified)
• EEC Certification preferred (will work with you to get certified)
• Must be able to work between the hours of 7:00AM – 6:00PM
• Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Eldersburg, MD before starting work (Required)

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of teaching experience (Preferred)
• 1-3 years of childcare experience (Preferred)

Pay

$17.00 - $22.00 per hour

• Full-time
• 8 hour shift
