PreK Lead Teacher

About This Role

First Presbyterian Church Preschool in Gallatin, TN is seeking a qualified PreK Lead Teacher to work with Preschool (3–5) in a center-based, faith-based program environment. This position requires a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.

What You'll Do

• Create and implement lesson plans
• Stay on the classroom schedule
• Communicate with parents
• Keep classroom clean and organized
• Engage with children at all times
• Create a safe and healthy learning environment

Requirements

• Able to work Monday-Friday on an alternating schedule of an eight hour shift between 6:30-5:30
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Pass a background check
• Pass a drug test
• A heart for teaching and making a difference in children's lives.
• Flexible.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.

Nice to Have

• Have or working towards a CDA or above
• Familiarity with ProCare
• An understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• High energy

Benefits

This PreK Lead Teacher role pays $15 to $17/Hr. This job is Full Time. First Presbyterian Church Preschool is located at 167 West Main Street, Gallatin, TN.
