About the role
We are seeking an Early Care & Education PreK Lead Teacher to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Lead a PreK classroom, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
- Plan, implement, and assess age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in young children through engaging activities.
- Collaborate with families to support children’s learning and development.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and program policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Valid Texas teaching certification in Early Childhood Education (or eligibility to obtain).
- At least 2 years of experience teaching in a PreK or early childhood setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early education.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
