Pay

Salary range of $18+ per hour based on experience

Schedule

9-hour workday with a 1-hour lunch break

Responsibilities

• Supervise classroom and co-lead all classroom activities throughout the course of the day
• Observe children’s interests and work with co-teachers to develop creative ideas for implementing the Wonder of Learning curriculum
• Develop weekly lesson plans alongside our Curriculum Coordinator
• Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions
• Engage with other childcare professionals and continue to grow in your profession

Qualifications

• Affiliation with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
• A Child Development Associate (CDA) certification preferred
• At least 1 year of teaching experience in a classroom setting
• At least 1 year of experience working with children aged 4 to 6 years
• Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
• Ability to work cooperatively alongside all co-teachers and school resource teachers
• Ability to work productively without supervision within established organizational policies and procedures
• Highly motivated and able to take direction well
• Ability to complete weekly lesson plans and carry them out within the classroom
• Commitment to following Goddard and state licensing guidelines to ensure the health, safety, and education of all children
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
