About the role

Tuff Shed, a leading manufacturer of storage buildings and garages, seeks construction/laborers/builders for its manufacturing facility. Training is provided, and work is done indoors.

Responsibilities

• Reads, understands, and executes written, oral, or diagrammed directions
• Safely operates various power tools and equipment
• Utilizes a tape measure, working drawings, and speed square efficiently and accurately
• Fabricates Tuff Shed products according to cut sheets or engineering drawings
• Paints products according to Tuff Shed standards
• Maintains power and pneumatic tools and ensures they are safe and operational
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Notifies the Production Foreman of low inventory levels
• Lifts up to 50 pounds for extended periods
• May require Tuff Shed fork lift certification

Requirements

• Knowledge of the construction industry and basic carpentry skills
• Basic painting skills
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate with others
• Ability to follow instructions in writing, orally, or in diagrams
• Basic arithmetic and ability to use a tape measure, speed square, and read working drawings
• Experience with prefabrication function or similar roles
• Experience operating power tools and handling materials

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Skills

• Preferred: Fork lift certification
