About the role

The Preconstruction Manager will lead all preconstruction activities, ensuring accurate cost estimation, budget management, and value engineering while fostering collaboration among stakeholders and maintaining compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate project feasibility and requirements
  • Develop accurate construction cost estimates
  • Create and manage project budgets
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering
  • Mitigate potential project risks
  • Coordinate bidding, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts
  • Foster effective communication among project stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and permits
  • Maintain organized project documentation and reports
  • Lead and mentor the preconstruction team
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and integrate innovative solutions

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, and project planning
  • Proven experience as a Preconstruction Manager or Estimator in commercial construction
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and make sound decisions

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
