About the role
The Projectiles Portfolio at Raytheon is seeking a Precision Projectiles Development Execution Program Manager for the Excalibur Hit to Kill (HTK) and Extended Range Artillery Projectile (ERAP) programs. These programs are part of the Excalibur Weapon System designed to extend the range and seeker capability of 155mm artillery projectiles.
Responsibilities
- Aid in program integration, coordination, and direct engagement with the program team and functional partners.
- Ensure meeting contractual commitments including financial, technical, and schedule performance of assigned programs within contractual boundaries and company expectations.
- Develop and integrate range extension and seeker solutions in conjunction with existing projectile efforts.
- Assist with proposal and associated capture and startup activities.
- Collaborate with Financial Planning to ensure Top-level Master Phasing and the Integrated Master Schedules meet program strategies, objectives, and milestones.
- Set budgetary guidelines and direct the performance of program task elements for IPTs/CPTs.
- Lead the program risk and opportunity process, in accordance with specific financial goals and obligations.
- Participate in internal reviews and executive briefings pertaining to all pursuits, including Gates, EACs, contract proposals, negotiation, and closeout efforts.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
- Experience developing and reviewing cost proposals.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge of contract formation, execution, and management.
- Proficiency with program management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to advise and influence functional leaders, business development, global supply chain, and internal program leaders to secure necessary financial (IR&D, Capital) & staffing resources.
- Program Management Certification or ability to obtain; track record in successfully leading IR&D, NBI, and/or customer-funded programs/projects.
