Precision Parts Team Leader (Night Shift)

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Ensure timely processing and accuracy of machine parts per customer’s request
• Managing a team of machine operators
• Making sure parts meet customer expectations
• Aiding or performing set-ups on CNC machines
• Assisting the department engineer and facilitator in identifying issues and areas for improvement
• Conducting and managing safety training
• Understanding or calculating speeds and feeds
• Ensuring adherence to processes
• Maintaining accurate inventories through cycle counts and adjustments
• Knowing basic shop floor programming on CNC machines
• Inspiring efficiency, resolving conflicts, and making good decisions
• Leading, developing, and coaching production employees
• Communicating needs between various departments

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Job Requirements

• English required; bilingual (Spanish) helpful
• Blueprint reading skills
• Ability to delegate and anticipate department and employee needs
• Working closely with design engineers, salesmen, and customer service representatives
• Prioritizing and multitasking
• Strong problem-solving and advanced math skills
• Effective communication with team members
• Efficient use of computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
• Team player with strong leadership skills
• Excellent inspection skills

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma/GED preferred
