Kitting Team Lead- Night Shift

Role and Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining on-the-floor manufacturing activities while ensuring that they are performed in a safe manner and in accordance with EHS policies and procedures
• Ensure that all quality requirements are met and that all team members are adhering to these requirements daily
• Cycle counts and inventory management
• Create, document, and sustain standardized work practices
• Train and mentor technical team members using a hands-on approach to ensure the team members are able to learn the techniques required to troubleshoot
• Report and attendance, quality, or performance issues to the Warehouse Supervisor
• Lead the Kitting Team from a process standpoint and communicate issues with the supervisor/manager as required

Skills and Experience

• High school diploma required, AA degree preferred
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate cross-functionally
• Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and lead teams
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Highly motivated self-starter and team player
• Must demonstrate safe work practices and attention to detail
• Familiar with lean manufacturing terminology principles
• Experience creating standardized work
• Experience completing station audits
• Experience creating Yamazumi and production line set up
• Experience completing process technician responsibilities preferred
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
• Must wear PPE as directed
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must be flexible to work fluctuating schedules if needed
• Must demonstrate competency in written and verbal English communications to understand safety protocols, hazard communications, and standard operational procedures (SOPs) required to ensure the safety of the employee and others on the manufacturing floor

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 25–50 lbs
• Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift
• Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials
• Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses, safety-toed boots)

Pay

The total compensation for this position includes standard company benefits and is based on various factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience. Salary Ranges: $21.29 - $30.63
