A core part of their work is helping growers process large volumes of data and convert it into practical agronomic and business insights that drive better decisions. Role Description The Precision Ag Technician is a full-time, hybrid role based in Holstein, IA, with some work-from-home flexibility. In this position, the technician installs, configures, and maintains precision agriculture hardware and software on customer equipment and farms. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting technology issues, providing on-site and remote technical support, and ensuring accurate collection and transfer of field data. The role helps producers use their data effectively by assisting with system setup, calibration, updates, and basic training on precision tools and platforms. The technician collaborates with internal teams and customers to support successful implementation, document work performed, and contribute to continuous improvement of HTS Ag’s precision solutions. Qualifications Technical aptitude with precision agriculture hardware, farm equipment electronics, GPS/RTK systems, and related ag technology.Ability to work with agricultural data systems, including data collection, basic data management, and understanding of agronomic applications.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for field-based technology, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.Effective communication and customer service skills to support producers, provide training, and explain technical concepts in clear, practical terms.Capacity to work safely and independently in field environments, manage time well, and handle multiple service requests and projects.Basic computer proficiency with common office software and willingness to learn specialized precision ag platforms.Relevant experience in agriculture, precision technology, or equipment service; technical or agricultural education is beneficial.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for on-site service and support.
