Precision Ag Technician

About the role

The Precision Ag Technician is a full-time, hybrid role based in Holstein, IA, with some work-from-home flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain precision agriculture hardware and software on customer equipment and farms.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for troubleshooting technology issues.
• Aid in the accurate collection and transfer of field data.
• Assist with system setup, calibration, updates, and basic training on precision tools and platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to support successful implementation, document work performed, and contribute to continuous improvement of HTS Ag’s precision solutions.

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude with precision agriculture hardware, farm equipment electronics, GPS/RTK systems, and related ag technology.
• Ability to work with agricultural data systems, including data collection, basic data management, and understanding of agronomic applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for field-based technology, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Effective communication and customer service skills to support producers, provide training, and explain technical concepts in clear, practical terms.
• Capacity to work safely and independently in field environments, manage time well, and handle multiple service requests and projects.
• Basic computer proficiency with common office software and willingness to learn specialized precision ag platforms.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for on-site service and support.
