Precision Ag Equipment Technician
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Precision Ag Equipment Technician to join our team. The Precision Ag Equipment Technician will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and correcting deficiencies on various equipment according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Performing general service, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on planters, combines, tractors, etc., specializing in precision equipment.
Inspecting buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by the facility to troubleshoot, perform maintenance, and complete repair work.
Researching and testing new developments in equipment technology.
Assisting with customer/employee training seminars.
Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program and DOT regulations.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree (A. A.) and six months to one-year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
General knowledge of all 12-volt electrical systems, Ag Equipment Mechanical, and Hydraulic Systems.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Must be 18 years or older.
English Proficiency.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.
