About the role

The University of Delaware seeks candidates for the following positions:

Responsibilities

  • Support faculty and employee inventors to identify research results with the potential to be patentable inventions, through all phases of assessment and commercialization.
  • Review inventions to assess legal protectability, commercial viability, and stage of development, including executing prior art searches.
  • Under the Principal Investigator's general direction, maintain mammalian cell lines and support ongoing research projects.
  • Develop and manage curriculum articulation agreements and program coordination with external two-year colleges.
  • Work cooperatively with other members of the College of Engineering and department advisement enterprise.
  • Manage the degree audit process, curriculum changes, and course inventory.
  • Conduct new student orientation meetings and compile student materials such as handbooks, forms, etc.
  • Manage a variety of events totaling 350 annually, including Varsity Competitions, Club Sports, Intramurals, and External and Internal Events.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Sports Performance Nutrition Department, including shared oversight of the fueling and education of 20+ Division I varsity sports.
  • Guide prospective students and families through the admissions process, build strong relationships, and represent the university at high schools, college fairs, and events.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the classroom program, including collaborative decision-making with classroom partner, family communication, and mentoring relationships with undergraduate UD students.

Requirements

Applicants must have a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience.

Qualifications

Experience working with faculty and employees to identify research results with the potential to be patentable inventions.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
