About the role

As an AMOpportunities Preceptor, you will host medical trainees from around the world for an in-person and/or virtual clinical experience. During the experience, you will provide exposure to the U.S. medical system as it relates to your specialty.

Essential Functions

• Willing to write a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) based on merit
• Must be able to host a minimum of 20 hours/week
• Ensure all observation or hands-on activities involving patients are supervised by the physician, mid-level, or nurse.
• Able to offer one or more of the following clinical experience types:
• In-Person
• Observership
• Hands-On
• Research
• Nursing
• Dentistry
• Pre-Med Shadowing
• Virtual

Skills/Experience

• Hold a current, active, medical license in the U.S.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others
• Academic Affiliation(s) with a U.S. based university preferred, but not required
