Pre Registration Representative
Primary Responsibilities
- Verifies patient information is accurate for each hospital encounter
- Solves verification of eligibility and benefit information issues
- Utilizes work queues and other control reports to process all assigned encounters
- Maintains patient confidentiality and demonstrates complete discretion when discussing patient information
- Maintains current knowledge of computer registration, updating patient data as needed
- Maintains productivity standards, quality review expectations, unit specific goals and reporting requirements as assigned
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma / GED
- 2+ years of experience in an admitting, registration, or hospital business office-oriented role
- 2+ years of experience working in healthcare, with insurance and third-party payers
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding
- EPIC proficiencies for this position must be passed within 90 days of start date
Telecommuting Requirements
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must be able to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Pay and Benefits
- The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full-time employment

About the Role
This position is full-time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 11:30am - 8:00pm PST, Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
Benefits
