Ambulatory surgery centers (or outpatient surgery centers) are healthcare facilities where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed.We are seeking a motivated Procedures Room Nurse to join our team.Southeastern Surgical Center is a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the charge nurse and clinical director, the Procedure Room Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to the care of the patient experiencing a GI procedure.. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates perioperative care for patients having GI procedures in an ambulatory surgery centerProvides care following the policies and procedures of the Center and demonstrates knowledge of SGNA standards of practiceMakes decisions regarding patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and other members of the health care teamClinically proficient in nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of adult and geriatric patientDemonstrates ability to prioritize tasks, use critical thinking skills, and be flexible as job priorities change.Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with physicians, patients, staff, and all members of the healthcare teamCognizant of the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs of the patientAccurately documents nursing careDemonstrates a positive attitudeUses problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to foster effective, good work relationships with team membersAdheres to dress code, attendance punctuality, meal break, and rest periodsMaintains required competenciesAttends required center meetings.
