Pre-Litigation Case Coordinator

Essential Functions

  • Aid clients with insurance related matters, including No-fault claim procedures, property damage claims, and the personal injury case process.
  • Identify insurance representatives and carriers involved in the case and provide them with case facts.
  • Identify applicable insurance coverages for the case.
  • Maintain contact with the client and gather medical treatment information for periodic case evaluations.
  • Identify and coordinate resolution of liens, including those from Medicare, Medicaid, and health insurance companies.
  • Work with and guide assigned paralegals in the work-up of the case and case file management.
  • Determine the need for liability investigations and coordinate these investigations with the assigned attorney.
  • Prepare the case for evaluation with the assigned attorney and/or Supervising Attorney.
  • Prepare detailed demand packages for the insurance carrier(s).
  • Report offers and negotiation status to the attorney and/or Supervising Attorney for client advice.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards coworkers and clients.

Required Education and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of PC applications, Windows, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in the insurance industry, particularly automobile insurance including bodily injury and no-fault experience.

Physical Demands/Requirements

  • Operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
  • Remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend stairs.
  • Frequently communicate with coworkers, clients, and/or outside vendors.
