About the role
The Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates, PC is seeking an empathetic, detail-oriented Pre-litigation Assistant for our Personal Injury team. The ideal candidate has a service mindset and a meticulous approach to case management. This is a full-time position based in our Irvine office.
Responsibilities
- Create relationships with clients and guide them through the case process from intake to settlement
- Monitor cases by verifying client attendance; observing, evaluating, and communicating treatments and responses; advocating for needed services and entitlements; obtaining additional resources; intervening in crisis; providing professional support
- Maintain client records by reviewing case notes, logging events, and tracking progress
- Communicate client progress by conducting weekly interdisciplinary meetings and evaluations
- Request medical records; mail, scan, and track government claim forms; and manage the resolution of property damage claims
- Draft legal documents such as letters of representation and preservation of evidence
- Ensure client files are complete for demand and potential litigation
- Maintain client confidentiality by keeping client/attorney information secure
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in criminal justice, sociology, or related studies
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- 2–5 years of case management (pre-litigation) experience
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent telephone customer service etiquette and active listening skills
- Superior time management and ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines
- Excellent communication (verbal, listening, and written) and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace
- CASEpeer/Filevine legal management software experience a plus
- Team-oriented yet capable of working independently
- Maintains consistent attendance to support team productivity and efficiency
- Strong desire to expand knowledge of personal injury law

Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
