Pre Kindergarten Teacher

About the role

The Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows seeks Pre-K Teachers with a degree in Early Childhood Education or Development for its Early Learning Centers. The positions are aligned with the school district and Boys & Girls Club calendar, including summer break.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive work environment based on values of Generosity, Respect, Encouragement, Accountability, and Trustworthiness.
• Plan and lead academic and social-emotional activities in a 10:1 class setting.
• Engage with student families to foster a sense of belonging and connection.
• Support the administration team, including directors who are available to assist with incidents and behavior management.
• Manage student portfolios and ensure the safety and well-being of children and staff.
• Prepare supplies and materials for lessons and exercises.
• Maintain the safety of children and staff, ensuring an optimal experience for all.
• Participate in professional development opportunities offered by the program quality team.
• Complete required background checks, drug screens, and reference checks.

Requirements

• Any one of the following:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in ECE or ECSE.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in any field and state-approved ARL in Early Childhood.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in any field and 30 or more ECE college credits.
• Already enrolled in the TEACH program for an early childhood-related degree.

Qualifications

• Experience with MS Word and Brightwheel is preferred.

Schedule

Instructional hours are expected to be 8am to 1pm, with additional prep time before and after instruction, likely 7:30am to 2pm.
