About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to provide a loving and educational environment for the children at Primrose.

Responsibilities

• Foster curiosity, creativity and compassion in children
• Help children learn about language and literacy, science, life skills, and more
• Implement the lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum
• Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence
• Teach children about the world around them

Requirements

• 2- or 4-year degree in education or related field OR equivalent direct experience as a teacher
• Ability to pass a background check
• Availability to work 40 hours each week
• Proven track record working with children in a preschool, daycare or school setting
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
• Openness to learning and interest in continuing to develop yourself through building your teaching, leadership and teamwork abilities

Qualifications

• Pre-Kindergarten Teachers: 4-year degree in early childhood or related field preferred

Skills

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
• Properly lift infants into and out of a crib (for Infant and Young Toddler teachers)

$16.00 - $21.00 per hour
