Responsibilities

• Aid in planning and organizing educational activities for students.
• Develop and support classroom procedures.
• Prepare teaching materials and support program goals.
• Implement planned instructional programs.
• Communicate student progress to teachers and support staff.
• Maintain classroom behavior according to guidelines and crisis management procedures.
• Perform assigned duties promptly, responsibly, and courteously.
• Create a safe and healthy environment.
• Foster a secure and nurturing emotional climate.
• Keep the classroom neat and clean.
• Engage actively with students in various settings.
• Support students with health and hygiene routines.
• Participate in home visits and facilitate Family/Child Activity Times.
• Respect students' and families' confidentiality.
• Drive a school bus if required.

Qualifications

• Understand appropriate behaviors of typical and atypical preschoolers.
• Model appropriate behaviors for students and their families.
• Communicate effectively with students and parents/guardians.
• Facilitate early literacy learning and oral language development.
• Encourage problem-solving and creative expression in young children.
• Operate independently without direct supervision.
• Collaborate harmoniously with other staff members.
• Complete bus driver training and obtain a CDL.
