Essential Job Duties
- Assist the Lead Teacher in performing all required daily tasks.
- Help implement lesson plans based on children’s needs; communicate with the Lead Teacher on a consistent basis for evaluation.
- Absorb the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the classroom.
- Exhibit care, respect, and a commitment to confidentiality in all interactions with children, staff, and families.
- Assist in the delivery of early childhood programs which commit to active involvement and engagement of families and the local community.
- Participate in all activities in and out of the classroom providing back-up and support for program teachers.
- Aid in the provision of services that enable the program to meet the requirements of Pre-School program funding criteria.
Other Job Duties
- Assist in the kitchen by preparing balanced meals for the children.
- Perform other job duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One (1) year or more of experience in an early childhood setting.
- Cleared through Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).
