About the role
The Pre-K Teacher's Aide plays an essential role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a joyful, orderly, and nurturing classroom where our youngest students can flourish.
Responsibilities
- Support the lead teacher in implementing daily classroom routines and learning activities.
- Foster a classroom environment rooted in faith, virtue, respect, and joy.
- Aid students with academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs.
- Prepare classroom materials, learning centers, and instructional resources.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions.
- Reinforce positive behavior and classroom expectations with consistency and charity.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the mission and culture of the school.
- Serve as a joyful witness to the Catholic faith through words and actions.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; associate's degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Experience working with preschool or young children is preferred.
- Practicing Catholic preferred.
- Warm, patient, and nurturing disposition.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team.
- Willingness to support and grow in the Catholic classical educational mission of the school.
- Must meet all Archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
