Pre-Encounter Representative

About the role

This position will require you to float between our Paoli Hospital, Collegeville, and Exton locations. As the initial contact for scheduled patients entering Main Line Health facilities, you will be responsible for accurate and timely pre-registration, verification of all financial information, precertifications/referrals, and notification of financial liability to all scheduled patients, ensuring all financial and regulatory requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for scheduled patients at Main Line Health facilities.
• Perform accurate and timely pre-registration of patients.
• Verify all financial information and precertifications/referrals.
• Notify patients of their financial liability.
• Ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years’ registration experience in a medical setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of personal computers and relevant software applications.
• Experience working with billing and financial data (preferred).
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement (preferred).
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• High school diploma or GED.

Schedule
