Pre-Construction Supervisor

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine routing criteria across functions such as cost, engineering concerns, and environmental constraints
• Perform route refinement using value engineering and other applicable concepts to optimize criteria for late-stage activities including permitting
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to address routing risks and integrate financial and engineering concerns
• Identify and evaluate routing risks with input from subject matter experts
• Communicate and discuss risks with various stakeholders including Engineering & Construction, Environmental Services, Legal, Development, and Land teams
• Solve problems within highly regulated permitting requirements

Requirements

• Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 15+ years of experience managing and overseeing large-scale construction projects, including gen tie and transmission projects
• Extensive experience in high-level project decision-making, risk mitigation, and leadership within a highly regulated construction environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience performing routing and siting tradeoff decisions in the presence of uncertainty
• Able to identify and evaluate routing risks
• Problem-solving skills within highly regulated permitting requirements
• Detail-oriented with ability to maintain sight of the larger vision
