Your daily challenges and goals
- Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of favorable relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing potential issues to maintain desired timelines/schedules.
- Implement, monitor, and assist in enforcement of quality control measures to guarantee the highest standards in concrete construction.
- Support/lead the foremen through the projects as needed/required.
- Aid the estimating department with take-offs and estimates; review vendor/subcontractor quotes.
- Review project plans, specifications, and proposals, then work with management to develop project objectives.
- Prepare materials and documents/documentation/layout assistance tools, based on plans/specifications and project requirements, for each project.
- Auxiliary in establishing, monitoring, and maintaining/updating construction work schedules.
- Aid project management with accurately identifying quantifying, pricing, and processing changes/proposed changes in work scope.
- Prepare/organize/maintain/make available contract documents to field operation forces, for each project.
- Review contract drawings, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation.
What you need to succeed in this Role
- Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering / Construction from four - year college or university.
- 2+ Years of construction management experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/IntelliCAD/Revit/Topcon Robotics.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management to meet strict deadlines.
- Competent in handling simultaneously occurring tasks/smaller projects.
- Strong work ethic – willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Strict attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Knowledge of project management, scheduling, resource management and estimating.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Analytical and mathematical skills, quick thinking, and a solid understanding of the main principles of engineering, construction, and architecture.
- Experience in reading/understanding structural/architectural/civil contract drawings.
- Experience in reading/understanding concrete work-related specialty contractor/vendor shop drawings.
