Pre-Commission Tech II

Overview

The Pre-Commissioning Technician II supports the pre-commissioning department and more senior technicians in the startup and repair of systems. Tasks range from basic system concepts to troubleshooting and repair, and involve assisting with operations support and reviewing submittal documents.

Responsibilities

• Startup
• Starting up less complex equipment
• Assisting higher level technicians with complex equipment and systems
• Gathering product info (Model #'s, Serial #'s, Belt, filter sizes)
• Diagnose and Repair
• Assisting more senior technicians troubleshooting problems and repairing them
• Support for Operations
• System flushing
• TAB
• Setting PRV's
• Maintaining belts, greasing bearings and motors before turnover
• Review of Submittal Documents
• Verifying equipment on job and submittal match voltage/amps/HP/etc.
• After Hours Work
• Occasional overtime work

Qualifications

• 20 hours of continued education
• 2+ years' experience
• EPA 608 Certification
• OSHA 30 certification
• NFPA 70 certification
• Ability to develop safety habits, copper tube brazing, soft skills, time management, troubleshooting system knowledge, hydronic systems, VRF systems, chiller operation, and learn through mentorship, continuing education, and hands-on activity
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

• NFPA 70 compliant uniform (provided by the company, replaced annually)
• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles
• Climbing stairs
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Operating machinery and/or power tools
• Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind
• Noisy environment
• Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds

Pay Range

USD $24.28 - USD $32.41 /Hr.
