Pre-Admission Testing Nurse

About the Role

We are seeking a Preoperative Screening RN for our ambulatory surgery center. As part of our team, you will contribute to HCA's mission and values by ensuring that patients are prepared and cleared for surgery. Under the direction of the clinical preoperative screeners, you will assist with collecting patient information, communicate with physician offices, complete medical history, and assemble a clinical record for each patient.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve voicemail messages and return calls promptly
• Maintain adequate supplies for your office area
• Perform preoperative phone calls to patients to collect preadmission information and provide appropriate pre-operative instructions
• Maintain departmental Excel spreadsheets regarding progress with patient data collection and telephone communications
• Compile patient charts to ensure all required documentation is immediately available, up-to-date, and conforming to regulations
