Pre-Admission Testing and Surgery Scheduler

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Location: Bettendorf, Iowa

Responsibilities

• Provide patient education essential for an efficient and safe surgical experience.
• Document assessment findings and coordinate pre-operative records and information (both medical and demographic) to ensure safe surgical care and optimize reimbursement.
• Accurately schedule surgical procedures using operating software.
• Follow the Preoperative Coordination Policy to direct medical and surgical clearances.
• Identify and communicate concerns from preoperative assessments to supervisors or administration.
• Assist in other aspects of the Pre-Admission Testing and Scheduling department as needed.
• Maintain high-level care, patient confidentiality, and compliance with all HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Work closely with patients to guide them through their surgical procedures and care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active RN license in the state of Iowa.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Previous experience preparing and educating patients for surgery.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately.
• Effective communication and interaction with patients and their families.

The pay range for this position reflects the range for all positions classified in this job grade. Individual pay will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and alignment with company benchmarks.
