About the role
Under guidance, you will manage the operational, financial, and administrative activities of an outpatient oral & maxillofacial surgery practice.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory audits/inspections and internal reviews; develop and recommend corrective action plans for identified deficiencies.
- Serve as liaison to audit teams during on-site visits.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and reagents; order or escalate needs as authorized; confirm accuracy of deliveries.
- Assist with cost-control measures.
- Ensure facilities and equipment are in optimal working condition; coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs; perform minor repairs if qualified.
- Advise on equipment upgrades for performance enhancements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of essential computer systems, software, and policies related to the role.
- Utilize financial reports to develop action plans that maintain or improve financial and operational performance.
- Oversee and approve procurement, disbursement, and reimbursement activities; ensure proper internal controls around financial transactions.
- Resolve financial issues as they arise.
- Monitor quality of service via satisfaction surveys, customer comments, and direct observation; recommend responsive strategies.
- Ensure practice compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Manage the annual budget and monitor variances.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (significant healthcare practice-management experience may substitute).
- Approximately 3–5 years of related healthcare practice-management experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical billing procedures and third-party professional-fee billing.
Pay
$108,000 – $125,700 per year.
