Job Description

What You’ll Do
Operational Leadership
Plan and execute department and division goals, programs, and objectives.
Implement and manage business plans, including strategies, timelines, outcomes, and performance metrics.
Continuously adjust plans in response to market changes and organizational priorities.
Practice Management
Oversee all day-to-day administrative and operational processes.
Manage staff scheduling, assignments, and workflow efficiency.
Ensure smooth execution of:
Co-payment collection at time of service
Referral management
Pre-registration processes
Visit documentation and ticket entry
Clinic Oversight (Hands-On Leadership)
Actively support clinic operations and patient care delivery.
Coordinate patient flow, care delivery, and discharge activities.
Oversee scheduling, registration, and billing accuracy.
Ensure team members are trained, supported, and continuously developing
Systems & Process Improvement
Implement and manage systems related to scheduling, managed care, and patient data.
Maintain data accuracy and optimize workflows.
Lead projects to improve:
Patient access
Call/telephone systems
Patient and provider satisfaction
Provider & Care Coordination
Monitor provider schedules (MDs, NPs, social workers, etc.).
Ensure appropriate staffing levels and patient scheduling.
Support clinical teams and ensure supply availability.
Oversee accuracy of patient care activities, services, and lab coordination
People Management
Direct daily work of team members.
Lead all aspects of employee lifecycle:
Hiring
Performance evaluations
Corrective actions
Terminations
Direct Reports: 7+
Indirect Reports: 1–5
Financial Management
Own department budget planning, monitoring, and performance

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5–8 years of related experience
  • 1–3 years of supervisory or management experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hospital and ambulatory clinic operations
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of:
    • Medical terminology
    • Business and financial systems
    • Proven organizational, initiative, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to respond effectively to both routine and complex situations
    • Proficiency with:
      • Web-based systems
      • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in process improvement and leadership development

Pay Range

$70,720.00 USD - $113,152.00 USD
