Core Responsibilities
- Aid in the preparation of loan documents and closing packages.
- Create and manage closing binders and indexes.
- Organize and compile various legal and financial documents.
- Review and summarize open, bracketed, and exhibit items.
- Track and prepare client-specific deliverables.
- Create and update closing checklists.
- Manage post-closing tasks, including recording and filing documents.
- Draft and review assignment documents.
- Conduct research on recorded documents as required.
- E-record mortgage documents as needed.
- Prepare and distribute quarterly reports.
- Collaborate with attorneys, analysts, paralegals, and title companies.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with Kofax software.
Requirements
- Strong interest in real estate lending and finance.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent paralegal education.
- Previous law firm experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Dependability, dedication, and strong confidentiality practices.
Pay & Benefits
The budgeted salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000. Full-time employment includes:
