Practice Director

About the role

The Clinic Manager at Hanis & Berriche Orthodontics oversees clinic operations with support from the Doctor, focusing on people management, driving growth, profitability, and patient experience. Key responsibilities include achieving P&L goals, managing relationships within the local dental community, and handling patient escalations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Doctor to create a positive clinical culture
• Ensure team behaviors reflect clinical excellence and high patient care standards
• Train clinic team on new tools, protocols, and initiatives
• Monitor and understand P&L statements to achieve monthly goals
• Build relationships within the local dental community and participate in marketing efforts
• Manage controllable costs including labor hours and supplies
• Serve as a liaison between the Doctor and the team regarding work assignments, schedules, clinical priorities, and job performance
• Cover roles in the clinic when business demands arise
• Follow established protocols to ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and State Dental Board regulations

Requirements

• Internal candidates: 2 years of clinic experience within Smile Doctors or affiliated practice clinics, high school diploma required
• External candidates: 2 years of supervisory experience required, orthodontic or dental experience preferred, high school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred
• Special skills: solid written and verbal communication, immediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ability to work independently with limited supervision, strong coaching and conflict resolution skills, demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance goals, strong time management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize work
