About the role
The Practice Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the operations and coordination of clinical activities within Core Clinical Partners' practice locations. Reporting to the Medical Director and Director of Operations, this position serves as a key liaison between clinicians, patients, and various internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assists with scheduling functions, ensuring accurate reflection of time worked and acting as a liaison between scheduler and providers.
- Manages projects at the practice level, including information gathering, timeline management, task delegation, and communications.
- Collaborates with the revenue cycle team to identify and obtain missing charts, physician documentation, and other necessary information for coding and billing.
- Collaborates with the credentialing team on new hire credentialing needs and credential maintenance, serving as a liaison to gather and communicate documentation.
- Partners with hospital personnel for new provider orientation and training.
- Facilitates provider interviews, arranging schedules, providing tours, securing interview rooms, and managing logistics.
- Assists with patient complaints by documenting issues and forwarding them to the site medical director or hospital personnel as necessary.
- Coordinates stakeholder meetings on a regular and ad hoc basis.
- Administers company and client policies and procedures consistently and promptly.
- Serves as administrative support for the Medical Director and Director of Operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior operations or administrative experience in the healthcare industry.
- Experience with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with MS Teams, scheduling software, and credentialing software preferred.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to effectively navigate job-related software for credentialing, scheduling, and other functions.
- Familiarity with healthcare jargon and terminology.
- Utilizes independent judgment in determining areas of collaboration, escalation, and autonomy.
- Collaborates with professionals both internally and externally to the company and across different geographic locations.
