Practical Nursing Program Clinical Instructors

Job Description and Position Requirements

Penn State DuBois' Office of Continuing Education is seeking applications from individuals interested in working part-time as Practical Nursing Program clinical and classroom instructors. Classes for this program will be offered during the evening, and on weekends at the campus in DuBois or at selected off-campus clinical locations. Instructors are needed to teach within the following program areas:

• Structure and function of the human body
• Fundamentals of practical nursing
• Medical surgical nursing
• Reproductive and pediatric nursing
• Medical surgical, mental health and management

Duties

Duties may include:

• Developing, organizing, and presenting materials
• Preparing grade/assessment reports
• Monitoring student attendance
• Serving as program representative at clinical sites

Requirements and Qualifications

• Instructors should have at least a bachelor’s degree in nursing, industry expertise and/or work experience in the subject matter area
• Teaching experience with adult students is preferred
• MSN preferred

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
