Practical Nursing Instructor
About the role
This is a full-time, 9-month annual contract, exempt, and benefit-eligible instructor position within the Practical Nursing Technology program at State Technical College of Missouri.
Responsibilities
- Instruct and develop courses including nursing fundamentals, nutrition, medical-surgical nursing, and nursing care of children.
- Student advising is a key responsibility.
Requirements
- A current undisciplined license to practice professional nursing within the state of Missouri with minimum of five years of experience in the Nursing field.
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing with a clinical component, or an associate degree in nursing with a willingness to obtain a BSN within 12 months of hire.
- Excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching/training experience.
- Five or more years of related work experience in one or more of the following areas: medical-surgical nursing and nursing care of children.
