Practical Nursing Instructor-Parsons Campus
Job Summary
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the full-time position of Practical Nursing Instructor to be located at the Parsons Campus.
Job Duties
- Planning, developing, initiating, and teaching the approved instructional program for practical nursing students in both the classroom and clinical setting
- Maintaining confidential, accurate and complete records on paper and electronically
- Providing individual evaluation of each student’s progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required
- Supervising students’ clinical experiences as scheduled
- Maintaining good public relations with clinical partners
- Auxiliary responsibilities include assisting with student placement and student follow-up; participating in recruitment of students; cooperating with outside agencies; working with program advisory committees; conducting visits to related business and industry; and establishing and maintaining good public relations within the college’s service area
- Clinical hours vary
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred
- Must hold active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee
- Minimum three (3) years of full-time experience in the nursing field within the last five (5) years
- Minimum three (3) years current clinical nursing experience
- Prior teaching experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Use of computer, normal standing, sitting, and walking, must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, stoop, stand and work, with or without accommodation, to demonstrate and perform all work-based projects in a classroom and clinical health care setting, operating a motor vehicle to travel within the college service area and in other areas as needed
SALARY RANGE
$50,894-$61,074 Commensurate with Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines
