About The Program

The EvolveMKD PR Fellowship is a 90-day full-time work experience and training program. It is a paid opportunity requiring 40 hours per week. Open to recent graduates, this program offers the chance to work alongside the EvolveMKD team and gain hands-on experience. Additionally, there is potential for full-time employment after completing the Fellowship. This role requires candidates to be available to start immediately. Successful Fellows will have strong written and verbal communication skills, an inner drive to learn, and excellent research, project management, and organizational skills. Passion and enthusiasm for the work, along with team collaboration and respect, are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in account management tasks such as creating agendas, summaries, activity reports, media monitoring, coordinating necessary materials for client accounts, and promptly addressing client requests or needs.
• Collaborate with the team to execute PR tactics and activations, including creative mailers and desksides.
• Manage PR send-outs, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials to media contacts, influencers, and clients, while maintaining detailed records of all dispatches and follow-ups.
• Build an understanding of clients' businesses and competitive environments through ongoing research, media monitoring, and list management.
• Support team efforts in organizing media events, editor desksides, client business planning, new business initiatives, and creative deliveries as directed by senior leadership.
• Daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly monitoring and reporting.
• Develop and refine pitch letters, press materials, key messages, and event briefings.
• Foster media relations by identifying target media, drafting pitches, fact-checking, and managing editor entertainment.
• Present ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively to vendors, peers, and clients as needed.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and vendor coordination.
• Refresh client folders regularly and conduct quarterly audits to maintain organization.
• Assist with administrative and front office duties, including answering phones, running errands, and handling mailers and send-outs.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or Marketing (a plus but not required).
• Minimum 3 months of public relations internship experience focused on beauty, health, and lifestyle brands (a bonus).
• Strong written communication skills; ability to present ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively, both in person and virtually.
• Proficiency in Office365, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with media databases and monitoring tools such as Muck Rack and Cision (preferred).
• An open mind, quick learning ability, and the capacity to foster positive relationships and maintain a respectful demeanor in all communications.
