PR & Communications Lead - Base44

About the role

Base44 is looking for a PR & Communications Lead to own our story to the outside world—press, market, and the community of builders we serve. This role is rooted in classic PR: media relations, messaging, launches, competitive positioning, and writing that explains how Base44 is opening up software creation to a broader audience. You’ll also shape our voice on LinkedIn and social, and collaborate with sales and marketing to turn business momentum into compelling stories for journalists and the market.

We’re seeking someone with a proven track record, strong relationships, and sharp PR instincts, who also brings an adaptable, hands-on mindset. You should be comfortable using AI tools personally and understand this market from the inside, ideally having built things yourself with tools like Base44.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute PR and communications strategy, including media relations, launches, messaging, and competitive positioning
• Create written content: press releases, blog posts, briefing docs, newsletters, and thought leadership
• Shape Base44’s voice and presence on LinkedIn and social media
• Turn customer stories, business momentum, and events into impactful content in collaboration with sales and marketing
• Build and maintain relationships with tech, AI, and startup journalists
• Drive visibility and content for company leadership
• Balance long-term planning with rapid, same-day turnaround when needed

Requirements

• Proven experience in communications/PR, particularly in tech, SaaS, AI, or developer tools
• Existing relationships with tech and AI journalists
• Sharp, clear writing skills
• Comfortable collaborating with sales, marketing, and senior leadership
• Genuine understanding of the AI and builder-tools space; hands-on experience is a big plus
• Ability to move fast in a competitive market without sacrificing precision
• A builder at heart: curious, takes initiative, and experiments with new tools firsthand

Bonus: LinkedIn/social experience at B2B scale, product launch experience, or a personal background as a builder using no-code/AI tools.

Pay

The approximate base compensation is $170,000 - $200,000. In addition to base pay, you will receive company RSUs as part of the compensation package. The final offer may vary and will be determined by various factors, including candidate profile and ideal qualifications.

Schedule

We are seeking NY-based candidates who are able and willing to work on-site three days per week.
