PR & Agency Partnerships Manager - Los Angeles
About the role
This role is for someone with a strong background in PR and a genuine interest in performance marketing. It involves building partnerships with PR agencies, communications firms, and brand marketing teams in Los Angeles, educating them on how performance-based publisher content complements traditional PR strategies, and closing new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop partnerships with PR agencies, communications firms, and brand marketing teams across the LA market
- Use your PR background and industry fluency to translate Linkby's value proposition in a way that resonates with earned media professionals
- Educate prospects on how performance-based publisher content complements and enhances traditional PR strategies
- Pitch, close, and onboard new agency and brand partners
- Own ongoing account relationships including campaign performance, retention, and upsell
- Attend PR industry events, agency networking functions, and brand marketing conferences across Los Angeles
Requirements
Must have 3+ years of experience working at or directly alongside a PR agency or communications firm in a media relations, account management, client-facing, or brand-side capacity. Deep familiarity with the earned media world is essential. Strong understanding of the PR agency model, including pitching, media lists, editorial placements, brand storytelling, and campaign measurement. A genuine interest in learning performance marketing and excitement about where PR and performance intersect. Full-cycle experience: comfortable both winning new business and owning accounts post-close. Existing relationships within the LA PR agency or brand communications community is a strong advantage. Self-starter mentality with the ability to own your pipeline and accounts remotely. Familiarity with affiliate marketing, native content, or digital advertising is a plus; we will train the right person. CRM experience is a plus but not required. Must be based in Los Angeles and available for regular in-person market engagement.

Schedule
Remote role with occasional WeWork days and team outings. Must be based in the Los Angeles area. Regular in-person availability for client meetings, events, and networking across the LA market is required. Also hiring for this role in NYC.
