Job Summary

MOR PPM Inc. is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer in Society Hill, SC. The Project Engineer assists the Project Management Team in meeting the Company’s objectives and goals, including ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within a budget, and per contract specifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional, first class customer service.
  • Aid in the execution and management of project contracts.
  • Prepare and present computer-generated spreadsheets and reports.
  • Maintain regular communication and collaboration with the project team, including Project Foreman, Project Manager, General Contractor, Architect/Engineer, and other subcontractors.
  • Generate, maintain, and facilitate project documentation in the execution of the construction processes for all phases of the project, including requests for information, submittals, drawings, specifications, purchase orders, material orders, change orders, close-out documents, etc.
  • Perform material take-offs from drawings to help generate estimates and changes.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, efficiency, and integrity in all aspects of the work.
  • Maintain flexibility with assigned work environment and project locations.
  • Attend and conduct meetings as required.
  • Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; OR 2 years’ prior experience in related field via internships, co-ops, and/or industry employment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in utilizing a wide range of computer software.
  • Engineer-in-training certification, Journeyman license, and field experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign.
  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above.
  • Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas.
  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age.
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders.
  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job-related noises.
  • Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination consistent with those required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces.
  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.

Work Environment Conditions

  • Includes working in office, with occasional entry into shop, busy traffic areas, and warehouses.
  • Occasional exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be able to safely access all areas of property.
  • Must be able to effectively use any required PPE equipment.

Potential Jobsite Visits

  • May require travel to various jobsite locations.
