About the role
Support in developing power-train and connected software solutions for embedded control systems for automotive applications such as vehicle control unit (VCU), propulsion - combustion, hybrid & electric - control unit (ECU) and transmission control unit (TCU).
Work on the latest generation micro-controllers, microprocessors, and AUTOSAR standards in a highly dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid-prototyping to support functional requirement development.
- Develop manual and model-based code according to specification.
- Deep dive analysis improving hardware-software interfaces and developing automated test software for software testing.
- Test and validate new software features in the vehicle, on an engine dynamometer, on a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), and/or Model-in-the-Loop (MiL).
- Debug/troubleshoot software.
- Participate in program review meetings, interface studies, design reviews.
- Support customer test trips in hot, cold and high altitude environments and provide local expertise for software functions.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in an university pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (with Controls focus), Computer Science, Math or Physics (with Controls focus) with at least one semester completed.
- Minimum of overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Qualifications
- Senior or Master Level students.
- 1+ year of relevant experience.
Skills
- Strong programming skills in C/C++.
- Experience with AUTOSAR and microcontroller development.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and automotive electronics.
- Good understanding of software development methodologies and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
