Powertrain Controls Software Engineering Intern (6-Months)

Job Description

• Support in developing power-train and connected software solutions for embedded control systems for automotive applications such as vehicle control unit (VCU), propulsion - combustion, hybrid & electric - control unit (ECU) and transmission control unit (TCU).
• Work with latest generation micro-controllers, microprocessors, and AUTOSAR standards in a highly dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an university pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (with Controls focus), Computer Science, Math or Physics (with Controls focus) with at least one semester completed
• Minimum of overall GPA of at least 3.0
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Senior or Master Level students
• 1+ year academic or industry experience with software languages and operating systems (real time OS, C, or embedded C)
• Additionally, assembly/ Linux, etc. desired but not required
• 1+ year academic or industry experience with software development and debugging tools (MATLab / Simulink preferred and experience with Ascet, Labview, Lauterbach, etc. desired but not required)
• Proactive approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with Formula SAE, Hybrid, SolarCar, First Robotics, FutureCar, EcoCAR type of activities is a plus
