About the role
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer with 3 to 4 years of infrastructure experience, including knowledge of Power BI and SQL, and basic knowledge of SSRS. Knowledge of SSAS and SSIS is an added advantage. The role involves providing support and services to global Microsoft Power BI customers.
Responsibilities
- Communicate clearly and professionally with end users to understand and resolve complex issues in an often ambiguous environment.
- Provide technical support via phone, chat, and email to global Microsoft Power BI customers.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis and resolve customer-reported issues within defined SLAs.
- Analyze, interpret, and communicate technical errors and solutions effectively.
- Write detailed, polished emails with excellent presentation.
- Act as a bridge between end users and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Handle escalations, involve the right parties, and de-escalate situations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams.
- Gather information quickly from customers, communicate next steps and status updates, and inspire confidence.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
Requirements
- 3 to 4 years of infrastructure experience.
- Knowledge of Power BI (Desktop, Service, Gateways, Administration) and SQL.
- Basic knowledge of SSRS; knowledge of SSAS and SSIS is an advantage.
- Experience in technical support projects and handling customers.
- Strong communication skills with excellent spoken and written English.
- Passion for technology and customer support.
- Enthusiasm to upgrade technology regularly.
- Flexibility to work in a 24x7 shift model, including holidays and weekends as per the roster.
