Responsibilities
- Introduce new customers to and promote Power Systems products.
- Build and maintain strong personal relationships with customers focusing on long term mutual growth by becoming their primary point-of-contact at the dealership.
- Deliver and demonstrate product features/benefits and communicate their value to customers in the field or in a remote setting.
- Specification Review.
- Create quotes.
- Manage CRM data.
- Maintain accuracy of customer and equipment population information in our systems.
- Complete and process all documentation and paperwork.
- Meet or exceed targets for units, revenue and gross profit.
- Provide customers with real solutions to meet their needs based on your understanding of how our products and services bring value to their operation.
- Provide world class customer service.
- Promote Butler’s product support offerings, including parts and service.
- Travel the assigned territory to meet with customers and prospective customers to solicit EPG and Customer Value Agreement purchases.
- Participate in and contribute to training and obtain required vendor certifications as requested.
- Be guided by Butler’s mission statement and core values in everything you do.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ experience selling electric power generation equipment, or 3 to 5 years experience as an EPG Project Manager preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university preferred.
- Self-starter able to work with limited supervision; capable of working independently, developing objectives, setting priorities, and implementing ideas in a timely manner.
- High mechanical aptitude required; able to maintain up to date knowledge of Caterpillar and Sullair product lines.
- Must be able to effectively negotiate and close deals.
- Able to develop and execute action plans.
- Excellent customer satisfaction skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
- Must be innovative and creative when handling challenging situations.
- Strong PC skills, with the ability to self-develop and adapt to changing technology; proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to engage in effective and persuasive discussions on complex topics with top management and other personnel.
- Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Must have the ability to make presentations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Able to work shifts needed, including days, nights, and/or weekends, to meet customer demands.
