Power Platform Analyst

Job Description and Duties

This position requires the incumbent maintain consistent and regular attendance; communicate effectively (orally and in writing) in dealing with the public and/or other employees; develop and maintain knowledge and skill related to specific tasks, methodologies, materials, tools, and equipment; complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner; and adhere to departmental policies and procedures regarding attendance, leave, and conduct.

Under direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II. The incumbent serves as an entry level Power Platform developer within the Grants Management Group (GMG) within the Power Platform Section (PPS) in the Digital Services Branch (DSB) of the Office of Technology Services (OTS). GMG supports and enhances some of the department’s most critical programs which serve California’s growing healthcare workforce. GMG develops innovative IT solutions utilizing modern platforms and tools such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, DocuSign, Adobe Sign, and other cloud-based apps.

Desirable Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience with business analysis and requirements gathering for an IT solution.
  • 3+ years experience conducting unit testing, functional testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • 3+ years experience triaging and resolving IT support tickets.
  • 2+ years documenting user stories and bugs.
  • 2+ years experience with Dynamics 365 development / configuration.
  • 1+ years experience with Power Automate and/or Power Apps development / configuration.
  • 1+ years experience creating user guides, technical documentation, knowledge-base articles, or training materials for users.
  • 1+ years experience with web application development.
  • 1+ years programming experience with JavaScript.
  • 1+ years programming experience with CSS and HTML.
